Julianne Cassin Sharp leads Miller Canfield's Immigration practice team. She has represented companies and individuals in the areas of business-based and family-based immigration law for more than 20 years.
Her areas of expertise include but are not limited to immigrant petitions, nonimmigrant petitions, foreign labor certification, adjustment of status applications, waivers, naturalization, consular processing, and advising companies on corporate compliance audits and risk assessment, including Department of Homeland Security I-9 audits and Department of Justice investigations. She advises and counsels large, multinational Fortune 500 clients, start-up companies, and small business owners across numerous industries.
Julianne has represented clients in the U.S. Immigration Court and before all branches of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Julianne has also lived in several different parts of the world, including during her study abroad in College at La Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, México, and later as a summer associate during law school with the international law firm of O'Connor Berman Dotts and Banes in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Julianne has been recognized by Chambers USA as a "Band 1" lawyer for Immigration, as well as in U.S. News and World Report's "Best Lawyers in America" and dBusiness' "Top Lawyers." She is also a member of and nationally recognized frequent speaker for the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
