Pharmaceutical Group General Corporate - Advised a U.S.-based pharmaceutical group on foreign direct investment in India for the sale and distribution of medicines/drugs in India. 

Steel Manufacturer General Corporate - Advised a global steel manufacturing company on establishing a joint venture partnership in India.

Underwriter Equity Securities Offering - Represented the underwriters in a $150 million global depository receipt Rule 144A offering by a leading integrated diamond and jewelry manufacturer and retailer in India.

Underwriter Debt Offering - Represented the underwriters in a $110 million convertible bond offering by a leading integrated diamond and jewelry manufacturer and retailer in India.  

Indian Real Estate Company General Corporate - Advised a leading Indian real estate company on regulations relating to external commercial borrowings and foreign direct investment in India. 

Management Company General Corporate - Advised a UK-based management consultancy company on incorporating a company in India.  

Underwriter Debt Offering - Represented the underwriters in a convertible bond offering by a leading provider of technology-based education in India.

Underwriter Equity Securities Offering - Represented the underwriters in a $225 million qualified institutions placement by a leading private sector bank in India of its equity shares in a Regulation S placing.

International Microfinance Organization General Corporate - Advised an international microfinance organization on carrying on activities as a non-banking finance organization in India. 

Cross-Border Transactions in the U.S.

Defended an Indian manufacturing company in a $20 million supply chain management dispute in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Represented Indian banks in loans to U.S. subsidiaries of Indian companies.

Represented a mid-size pharmaceutical company in bankruptcy and restructuring proceeding involving the Indian parent company and its European and U.S. subsidiaries.

Represented small to mid-size Indian IT and automotive manufacturing companies in establishing their presence in the U.S.
