Megan Baxter-Labut is an associate at Miller Canfield, where she brings a robust blend of litigation and commercial transaction expertise to the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Megan's practice focuses on commercial contract and real estate disputes, with particular emphasis on title insurance defense. Her legal prowess extends to a wide range of commercial disputes, including the defense of commercial lenders and the enforcement of loan transactions.

Megan’s practice also encompasses a variety of receivership actions aimed at preserving asset values, winding down operations, completing construction projects, and liquidating property. Her experience represents a diverse clientele, including national, regional, and local lenders in complex acquisition financing and various commercial lending transactions.

Before pivoting to law, Megan served as a Border Service Officer with the Canada Border Service Agency, where she gained substantial experience in Canadian commercial importation and immigration laws.

Through her career, Megan has demonstrated a commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for her clients, whether through strategic negotiations or rigorous litigation, ensuring comprehensive solutions tailored to their unique needs.
