Program will include instruction and briefing on latest changes and hot topics in labor and employment law affecting Human Resource professionals, with an underlying focus on how best to craft, implement, and enforce workplace policies and practices to limit exposure to liability. Hot topics will include:
- Social Media
- Union Avoidance
- Telecommuting and tracking off-the-clock time under the FLSA
- EEOC’s efforts to target workplace practices/policies that have “disparate impacts” on protected classes
- GINA’s impact on wellness programs and requests for medical information of employees
