Marisa Cook is an associate in the firm’s Employment and Labor and Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice groups. A recent graduate of Wayne State University Law School, Marisa brings valuable experience from her work as a summer associate at two prominent metro Detroit law firms. During her time in these roles, she gained hands-on experience conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, and assisting in various aspects of commercial litigation.

Marisa’s diverse background includes professional experience prior to law school, and participation in the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic (AILC) at Wayne State University Law School, as well as a semester in a study-abroad program in Dublin while earning her bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan.

At Wayne State Law, Marisa held leadership roles, serving as co-chair of the Wayne Law Diversity Coalition and as director of diversity and inclusion for the Women’s Law Caucus. She was also an assistant editor for the Wayne Law Review. Marisa’s dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession continues to shape her practice today.
