Kasturi Bagchi counsels and manages risk for clients in real estate acquisitions and financings and other asset-based transactions. Having closed such transactions from both a purchaser/borrower perspective and a lender perspective, she quickly navigates through transactions, spots issues and solves problems to close deals on time and efficiently.
Kasturi previously served as a law clerk for the Hon. Judge William Albrecht and the Hon. Judge Harry K. Seybolt of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Representative Matters
- Represented lenders in acquisition financing, construction lending and refinancing involving multi-family projects, office buildings, hotels and/or shopping centers in Michigan and other states from commitment stage through deed in lieu stage
- Represented bridge lender in mortgage loans, note purchases and note financings to rescue distressed borrowers from foreclosing lenders
- Created loan document templates for bridge lender launching new California lending program
- Created loan document templates for lender launching new line of credit program for financing manufactured homes
- Closed over $600 million in FNMA or Freddie Mac loans for borrowers
- Extensive experience assisting with acquisition and financing of manufactured home communities in multi-state and/or multi-property transactions
