Dante D. Gatti has worked in private practice for over 27 years in litigation. Dante has handled construction litigation, mortgage remedies, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, shareholders’ disputes, manufacturing litigation, debt collection, estate litigation, employment law matters, expropriations, commercial tenancy matters, vendors and purchaser matters, medical malpractice, solicitor’s negligence and insurance litigation.

Representative Matters

Civil Procedure – Extra Provincial Enforcement of Anton Pillar Order

Obtained an Anton Pillar Order on an ex parte basis in chambers in Ontario which was immediately transferred to Quebec, ratified under the Quebec Civil Code, and enforced, without notice or warning, seizing critical evidence.

Expropriation

Handled the vmajority of all expropriation compensation claims for commercial property owners, and business operators, from the construction of the Herb Gray Parkway – Detroit River International Crossing Project. Clients included gas stations, car washes, restaurant owners, restaurant franchisors, restaurant franchisees, retailers, a religious institution, a commercial plaza, and an auto mechanic.
