Yuri Shidenko Joins Miller Canfield’s Chicago Office

March 16, 2018

Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Yuri Shidenko has joined the firm as a senior counsel in the Real Estate Group in Chicago. The announcement was made by CEO Michael McGee.

Shidenko has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial financing structures, insolvency, workout and foreclosure negotiations, and counseling clients on traditional and nontraditional real estate funding. Fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian, his experience includes negotiating cross-border joint ventures and serving international clients.

“Yuri is a natural fit for our Chicago office. As a full-service global firm, our cross-disciplinary teams serve clients all over the world,” McGee said. “But each one of our 16 locations is intensely local, with deep roots, local background and long relationships in their respective cities.”

Shidenko received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He also holds an LL.M. with high honors from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
