Wendy Richards Named Among Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s Women in the Law Class of 2018
DETROIT (August 4, 2018)—Miller Canfield Principal and Pro Bono Counsel Wendolyn Wrosch Richards has been named among Michigan Lawyers Weekly's Women in the Law.
The annual Women in the Law ceremony celebrates the significant contributions made by women to the legal profession and the communities they serve.
"Wendy is a highly skilled litigator who is passionate about pro bono work and the legal community's role in advancing the greater good. She is truly dedicated to service to others and the cause of equal justice under the law," said Miller Canfield CEO Michael McGee. "Her passion for the work benefits the firm, the communities we serve and the clients we represent."
Richards is a co-creator of the Small Business Legal Academy Detroit, which she has chaired for the past three years. She serves on the Michigan Community Resources Fund Development Committee, the New Economy Initiative Neighborhood Business Strategy Worktable and co-chairs the Association of Pro Bono Counsel Voting Rights Task Force. She serves on the Michigan State Bar Foundation Access to Justice Statewide Steering Committee and the State Bar of Michigan Delivery of Legal Services for all Standing Committee.
In addition to Women in the Law, Richards has been recognized by the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, which earlier in 2018 awarded her the Exceptional Achievement Certificate.
Richards and the Women in the Law Class of 2018 will be recognized at a luncheon held on Sept. 20.
