Shawn Hopper Named to Leadership Detroit Class XL

DETROIT (Aug. 7, 2018)­—The selection committee of Leadership Detroit has chosen Miller Canfield Principal Shawn Hopper as a member of the Leadership Detroit Class XL for 2018-2019.

Leadership Detroit is sponsored by the Detroit Regional Chamber and focuses on community leadership, challenging emerging and existing community leaders to bring about positive change in the community. The selection process for this nationally recognized program is highly competitive.

Miller Canfield attorneys and professional staff regularly participate in and graduate from leadership programs, including Leadership Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Oakland, as well as Michigan State University's Michigan Political Leadership Program.

Hopper is a principal in the firm's Banking and Finance Group. A former banker, he represents national, regional and local lenders. He has significant experience in specialty financing, asset-based and real estate secured loans, working capital facilities and complex acquisition financing.

He received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Texas.
