Jennifer Sabourin Elected as Fellow in College of Labor and Employment Lawyers
Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that principal attorney Jennifer L. Sabourin has been elected by her national peers as a fellow of the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 as a professional organization to honor leading lawyers and has evolved to become a leading resource for the community, the judiciary, the government and academia. Members promote excellence in the practice of law by setting high standards of professionalism and civility and by sharing their experience and knowledge. Only the most distinguished leaders in the legal community are invited to become fellows.
“Being recognized as a fellow is one of the highest professional honors bestowed on employment and labor attorneys,” said Miller Canfield CEO Michael McGee. “The College only considers attorneys who have been practicing for 20 years or longer. This is the first year Jennifer was eligible for membership, and the fact that she was invited this year speaks to her well-earned reputation as one of the best in the profession.”
Sabourin is a deputy leader of Miller Canfield’s Employment and Labor Group. She is known as a highly skilled employment litigator with experience successfully representing clients in high-stakes, complex cases. She represents employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and violations of wage and hour matters pending in state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state employment agencies.
She is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for labor and employment litigation, Super Lawyers for employment litigation defense, and was named by law firm and lawyer research and ranking firm BTI Consulting as a Client Service All-Star. Sabourin will officially be inducted as a fellow in November 2019.
