Nancy Valentine Named Ohio Super Lawyer
Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Nancy Valentine is named by Super Lawyers Magazine among the Top 100: 2019 Ohio Super Lawyers, the Top 50: 2019 Women Ohio Super Lawyers, and the Top 25: 2019 Women Cleveland Super Lawyers.
Valentine is a nationally recognized attorney with extensive litigation and transactional experience representing financial institutions, privately held companies, receivers and individuals. She has focused her practice on representing middle-market buyers and sellers in complex transactions and has particular experience in distressed real estate matters.
She regularly leads teams of attorneys in large transactions, such as a $100 million distressed loan package that was notable not only for its size, but also for its complexity as it required financing, restructuring, sales, federal district court litigation and the coordination of simultaneous bankruptcy cases.
Earlier this year, 79 Miller Canfield attorneys in Michigan and Illinois were named Super Lawyers or Super Lawyers Rising Stars. Illinois Super Lawyers is released in January. Michigan Super Lawyers is released in September.
Valentine joined Miller Canfield late in 2017 to lead the firm's newly opened Cleveland office. The firm continued its expansion in Ohio and opened a Cincinnati office in 2018.
Valentine is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, and served as the chair of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation Executive Board in 2016 and 2017.
