Miller Canfield Attorney Joseph Gustavus Presents Export Controls ITAR and EAR Training

October 31, 2016

Miller Canfield attorney Joseph Gustavus will present Export Controls: ITAR and EAR Training to business leaders who are exporting, or who are interested in exporting, goods in the global marketplace.

The training program, presented by the Van Andel Global Trade Center, will take place 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Nov. 10, at Grand Valley State University, 201 Front Street SW in Grand Rapids, and will help attendees gain knowledge and increase expertise in the areas of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). It will offer a comprehensive overview and intermediate concepts for both ITAR and EAR, regulatory frameworks, best practices and exemptions.

“We are partnering with Van Andel Global Trade Center to present this information because it is a well-known and respected organization that helps business in Michigan grow locally and globally,” Gustavus said.

Gustavus is a principal in the firm’s Export Controls practice group, and counsels and assists clients with domestic and international acquisitions and commercial transactions, ITAR and export controls compliance issues.
