Joseph Ammar Joins Miller Canfield

Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Joseph Ammar has joined the firm's Banking Group in its Kalamazoo, Michigan, office.

Ammar's practice focuses on creditors' rights, bankruptcy, commercial law and other banking matters. His clients include financial institutions and all types of creditors.

Ammar joined Miller Canfield from Plunkett Cooney, where he was a partner. Prior to that, he was a vice president and in-house counsel for National City Bank (now PNC Bank), where he handled commercial law matters, workouts and bankruptcy matters.

He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Creditors' Rights Committee and the Federal Bar Association Bankruptcy Section Steering Committee. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, and as a member of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association, he volunteers with the Kalamazoo Legal Outreach Clinic. He is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and Wayne State University.
