Miller Canfield’s Joe Infante Named in Crain’s Notable West Michigan Lawyers

March 20, 2023

Miller Canfield attorney Joseph Infante has been named in the inaugural edition of Crain’s Grand Rapids Business’ Notable West Michigan Lawyers.

Infante leads the firm’s alcoholic beverage regulation team, which serves breweries, wineries and distilleries by advising them on operating in the highly regulated alcoholic beverage industry, including distribution agreements/disputes, regulatory compliance, trademark issues, litigation, licensing, branding and more. Joe’s expertise in the alcoholic beverage world is highly sought after and he regularly speaks at state and national alcoholic beverage conferences.

Infante’s litigation experience includes representing clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as mediation and arbitration proceedings. Since 2019 he has represented the 10-member Wineries of the Old Mission Peninsula in their highly publicized ordinance dispute with Peninsula Township. He recently obtained partial summary judgment for those clients.

Infante has been named a Top Lawyer for litigation and food & beverage law in Grand Rapids Magazine, was one of the Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders in 2016 and 2018 and has been named a Leading Lawyer in Michigan since 2016. He is a member of the Hospice of Michigan Foundation Board and co-chairs the successful Hospice of Michigan Barley, BBQ & Beats fundraiser. This year’s event will expand to six locations, attract more than 6,000 guests and raise more than $1 million.
