Danielle Mason Anderson Named in Crain’s Notable Women in Law

February 20, 2024

Crain’s Grand Rapids Business has named Miller Canfield’s Danielle Mason Anderson in its Notable Women in Law West Michigan edition.

Anderson is a member of Miller Canfield’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, where she assists clients with pre- and post-judgment remedies including receiverships, sale of collateral, foreclosures, repossessions, evictions, debt sales and debt restructures. Her practice has a particular emphasis on commercial litigation and creditors’ rights resolution with a concentration on loan enforcement, insolvency, bankruptcy and receiverships.

In 2014, Anderson was chosen to serve as the resident director of the Kalamazoo office. She continues to serve in this role today. She was elected in 2022 to serve as the Chair of Miller Canfield’s Managing Directors, who oversee more than 400 attorneys, paralegals, and professional staff. In this role, she is a diplomatic and inclusive leader who values collaboration and is committed to leadership through service.

“In addition to being an outstanding attorney, Danielle is a truly gifted leader in the community. She is an excellent ambassador and has not only elevated the firm’s local profile but has provided leadership to help our attorneys and staff become more involved in and more connected to the communities we serve. Her leadership style is thoughtful, inclusive and consensus-seeking in a profession that often demands that the best of us are competitive and even a little gladiatorial,” said Miller Canfield CEO Megan Norris.

Anderson has a long history of community involvement, including serving on the Board of Directors for Southwest Michigan First, an economic development organization that supports Kalamazoo and neighboring counties. Her other past and present civic and professional activities include:
