Miller Canfield's Tamira Cason Chapman Receives Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association's Barrister of the Year Award

Miller Canfield lawyer Tamira Cason Chapman, an associate in the Detroit office, was recently honored by the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association (DMBA) with the prestigious Barrister of the Year Award. The Award is presented annually to a member of the Barristers board who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the development and execution of Barristers’ programming.   

At Miller Canfield, Chapman assists clients in securing and safeguarding their intellectual capital in the United States and abroad, including copyrights, trademarks, word marks, service marks, domain names and other related rights. 

She received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and her B.A. from Michigan State University. She resides in metro Detroit.

The Barristers is the young lawyers division of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, providing new lawyers with opportunities to expand their leadership skills, partake in community service projects, attend practice area specific educational seminars and participate in networking activities designed with young lawyers in mind.
