Miller Canfield Lawyer Ric Brown Re-elected to Executive Board of BC/CAL/KAL Inland Development Corporation

Miller Canfield announces that Eric (Ric) V. Brown, Jr., senior counsel in the firm’s Kalamazoo office, was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of BC/CAL/KAL Inland Development Corp., which operates Foreign Trade Zone 43 and inland customs port both of which are located in the Fort Custer Industrial Park near Battle Creek, Michigan. It is one of the premier international business parks in the Midwest and North America. Brown has been a member of the board and executive committee since 1988 and has served as president.

At Miller Canfield, Brown provides expertise on mergers and acquisitions, business combinations, joint ventures and corporate governance and finance for private and public companies as well as matters involving banks, bank holding companies and venture capital firms. Brown is a Business Law Section member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan and is a long time member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section. Brown has been recognized for outstanding legal work in Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyer.

A resident of Kalamazoo, he earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and A.B. from the University of Michigan.
