Miller Canfield's William J. Danhof Named Lansing's "Public Finance Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers

December 7, 2010

Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession, has named William J. Danhof, a principal in Miller Canfield’s Lansing office, as the “Lansing Best Lawyers Public Finance Lawyer of the Year” for 2011. Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each community is being honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.”

The lawyers being honored as “Lawyers of the Year” have received particularly high ratings in our surveys by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity. The current, 17th edition of The Best Lawyers in America (2011) is based on more than 3.1 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers.

At Miller Canfield, Danhof is a former managing director of the firm, the founding member of the Lansing office and a former chair of the Public Law Group. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Client Protection Fund Committee and is a past president of the American College of Bond Counsel, of which he is a founding member.  He received his B.A. from Michigan State University and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
