Miller Canfield Lawyers Recognized in International Who's Who Guide for Labour and Employment Law
Miller Canfield principals Charles S. Mishkind (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Richard W. Warren (Detroit, Mich.) are two of only six lawyers practicing in Michigan recognized in the The International Who’s Who of Management Labour & Employment Lawyers 2010, published by Who’s Who Legal and sponsored by the American Bar Association Section of International Law.
With more than 30 years’ experience, Mishkind specializes in labor, employment and benefit law and related litigation. Most of his current practice involves complex employment and benefit class action litigation in federal court. He has been credited as being one of the prime developers of the after-acquired evidence defense and alternative dispute resolution for non-union employees as well as being a leader in retiree health insurance benefit litigation and the development of the law of retaliation. He received his LL.M. in Labor Law from New York University School of Law, J.D. from University of Arizona Law School, and B.A. from University of Arizona.
Warren defends employers facing all types of wrongful discharge lawsuits, including discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims filed by employees. He also has a wealth of experience defending employers faced with complex and class action cases, including age discrimination, race discrimination and retiree health benefit claims. He received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and B.A. from Michigan State University, James Madison College.
