Miller Canfield's Maya Watson Serves on Board for Prominent Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association

Miller Canfield associate, Maya Watson (Detroit, Mich.), has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Barristers for the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association.

The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association (DMBA) was established in 1836 by a group of distinguished Detroit area attorneys and currently serves the legal community of Southeastern Michigan by providing services, products and information essential to the successful, ethical practice of law. 

Watson focuses her practice on legal issues related to banking (finance, secured loans), troubled properties (workouts, foreclosures, financing), commercial real estate transactions (finance) and multi-state financing. She received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and her B.A. from Lincoln University.
