Bankruptcy Lawyer Jose Bartolomei Re-Joins Miller Canfield

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that José Javier Bartolomei has re-joined the firm as a senior attorney in the Ann Arbor office, bringing a wide range of corporate finance and bankruptcy experience. He specializes in troubled automotive supplier workouts, bankruptcies and commercial finance originations and workouts.

Mr. Bartolomei represents creditors, borrowers, servicers and originators in finance and securitization transactions, as well as distressed credit matters.  He counsels creditors, debtors, creditors' committees and others in commercial bankruptcy and out-of-court workouts.  His practice includes litigation and transactional work for commercial lenders, banks, finance companies, and automotive manufacturers and suppliers.  He has represented clients in the automotive, health care, real estate, oil and gas, swaps, derivatives and securitization industries throughout his career.

He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.  Prior to re-joining Miller Canfield, Mr. Bartolomei practiced law in Chicago, Illinois and Dallas, Texas.  He is licensed to practice law in Texas, Illinois and Michigan and is admitted to the federal, state and bankruptcy courts in all three states.
