The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Marta A. Manildi, a principal in the Ann Arbor office, has been appointed by Mayor John Hieftje to the Ann Arbor Housing Commission for a 5-year term.

The Commission’s purpose is to provide desirable housing and related supportive services for low income families and individuals.  In conjunction with other housing and service providers, the Commission seeks to build healthy residential communities, and to promote an atmosphere of pride and responsibility.

At Miller Canfield, Manildi counsels individuals regarding their estate and family business succession planning, and serves as a trustee and estate executor.  For businesses, Marta negotiates and writes contracts, including intellectual property licenses and joint development agreements.  She has more than 25 years of litigation experience representing large and small businesses and individuals. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from the University of Michigan.
