Miller Canfield Lawyer Elisa Angeli Palizzi Sworn In as President of Federal Bar Association-Eastern District of Michigan

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Elisa Angeli Palizzi, a principal in the Detroit office, has been sworn in as the 2009-2010 president of the Federal Bar Association (FBA)-Eastern District of Michigan.

The Federal Bar Association, founded nationally in 1920, has grown and expanded over the years and is now recognized as the professional organization for private attorneys, government lawyers and judges involved in federal practice. The Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the FBA has long served the 34 counties which form the eastern half of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula and is one of the most active chapters in the country.

Elisa Angeli Palizzi’s extensive experience covers a wide variety of cases. With a wealth of experience in business litigation matters, her clients cover a range of industries from automotive and other manufacturers to financial institutions and utilities. Her practice areas include contract, business torts, franchise, banking, automotive, manufacturing, real estate, insurance coverage and professional malpractice. She also has expertise in issues concerning the attorney-client privilege.

She received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and her B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
