Miller Canfield Lawyer Loretta Stoyka Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Loretta Stoyka, senior counsel in the Windsor office, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce on June 19, 2009.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is given when the Chamber’s board of directors deems there is an individual who has shown exemplary, sustained and enduring contribution to the community and has ascended to a level of extraordinary achievement in their business or profession.
 
At Miller Canfield, Stoyka’s practice covers Canadian employment law with an emphasis on workplace safety and insurance law and corporate compliance. She was the first in Ontario to achieve certification as specialist in Worker's Compensation Law. She has served as a vice chair of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal of Ontario and is a former director of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario.

She received her LL.B. from the University of Windsor School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Windsor.
