Miller Canfield Presents “Future Perspectives on the Automotive Industry” for American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico

May 18, 2009

The law firm of Miller Canfield presents “Future Perspectives on the Automotive Industry” for American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico members on Wednesday, May 20, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Club Industrial (Av. Parteaguas 698, Col. Loma Larga. Garza García, N.L.).

Those doing business in Mexico connected to the interdependent cross-border automotive industry and manufacturing should attend. Topics to be discussed include the current state of the auto industry and economy; the trickle-down effects of Chrysler’s bankruptcy; a possible GM bankruptcy; and the greater effect on Mexican manufacturing.  In addition, future perspectives for manufacturing in automotive, and diversification opportunities in the U.S. and elsewhere will be addressed.

The presentation will be lead by Miller Canfield U.S. lawyer Michele M. Compton and supported by Mexican lawyers Alberto J. Murga and Otto H. Sampogna, of counsel with Miller Canfield in its Monterrey office.

Miller Canfield’s Mexico office advises clients in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, as well as in Mexico, on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and commercial transactions, labor and employment, tax, litigation and intellectual property law.
