Miller Canfield Attorney Kurt Sherwood Speaks at HR Conferences
Kurt N. Sherwood, a principal in the Kalamazoo office of Miller Canfield and deputy practice group leader of the Labor and Employment Group, recently spoke on the FMLA's proposed regulations and recent Michigan Supreme Court decisions at the Michigan Community College Human Resource Association Spring Conference held at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island. He also provided a legal update to the Human Resource Council of Southwestern Michigan at its spring meeting in Benton Harbor.
Sherwood has spoken at numerous seminars on labor and employment law-related topics and has conducted and participated in various management round tables and in-house training programs.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Kalamazoo County Bar Association, Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Association, National Association of College and University Attorneys, and the Kalamazoo Area Labor-Management Association.
