November 4, 2004

Area investment advisors and registered representatives are invited to join the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. at the upcoming Before the Bell breakfast forum, “Chat Rooms and Instant Messaging.” The forum will be held on Thursday, November 11, from 7:15-8:30 a.m. at the Townsend Hotel (One Hundred Townsend Street, Birmingham).

“With the growing reliance on and predominance of electronic communications, brokers need to be aware of how to properly use the Internet, email and other electronic methods of communicating with clients and potential clients,” said Todd Holleman, forum presenter and securities attorney at Miller Canfield. “We'll be discussing the latest Internet communication tools and trends within the context of current securities industry rules and best practices.”
