Miller Canfield Named on Top Law Firm List in Detroit by "Corporate Board Member" Magazine

July 31, 2007

Miller Canfield announces it has been selected as a top law firm in Detroit by Corporate Board Member magazine. The sixth annual Legal Industry Research Study sponsored by FTI Consulting surveyed directors of publicly traded companies within the Detroit area to find which local law firms “they would most likely select to aid their companies on a broad range of corporate legal issues.”

This is the second survey in 2007 to name Miller Canfield among the best corporate law firms. Chambers USA 2007 recently recognized the firm for its banking & finance law, commercial litigation, employee benefits & executive compensation, labor & employment law, real estate law, and corporate/M&A work – all of the areas ranked in Michigan – and the firm was ranked nationally in sports law.

The complete national and metropolitan rankings are featured in the July/August issue of Corporate Board Member and can be accessed online at boardmember.com/issues/current. The bimonthly publication is a resource for senior officers and directors of publicly traded corporations, large private companies and Global 1000 firms.

The law firm of Miller Canfield was established in Detroit in 1852 and employs more than 800 in offices in Michigan, Massachusetts, Florida, New York, Canada and Poland.
