Miller Canfield Hosts State Securities Regulators at Breakfast Forum March 11 in Birmingham

The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces its upcoming Before the Bell breakfast forum, “The State of Securities Investigations in Michigan,” Thursday, March 11, from 7:15-8:30 a.m. at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. Area investment advisors and registered representatives are invited to join securities counsel from Miller Canfield and state regulators Karen E. Porter and Darryl Saddler who will discuss the roles and responsibilities of state regulators as well as share insight relative to complaints, reviews, examinations and enforcement in the financial services industry.

Karen E. Porter is an examination manager in the Securities Investigation Unit of the Office of Financial and Insurance Services (OFIS). She has been a state regulator for over 16 years. Darryl Saddler is a senior broker dealer examiner in the Licensing Division of the OFIS and has been a state regulator for several state agencies for the last 26 years.

Miller Canfield's Before the Bell breakfast forums are monthly, Thursday morning informational meetings which highlight securities law issues. The next forum is April 8.
