Red Wings Alumni Take On Miller Canfield Hockey Team for Charity, March 20 in Fraser
The Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association is set to face-off against the Miller Canfield Bombers on Saturday, March 20, 2004, for a hockey game to benefit the Detroit Red Wing Alumni Charities, participating area Scouts, and DebRA (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association). The puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at the Great Lakes Sports City in Fraser, Mich. Tickets are $7. A prior Bomber-Red Wing Alumni contest raised over $16,000 for charities.
The Miller Canfield Bombers hockey team is made up of attorneys, employees and friends of the firm. The Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association is the oldest such organization in the NHL. Founded in 1959 by several notable Red Wing players, the Association donates almost 100% of its proceeds to charities in the U.S. and Canada.
