Miller Canfield Elects New Principals

Ann Arbor, Michigan office:
Sheila Jeffrey, from senior attorney to principal. She is a member of the firm's Product Safety and Product Litigation and Torts groups. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University Law School.
Detroit office:
Freeman L. Farrow, M.D., from associate to principal. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group and Franchise Law Team, and is a Michigan SCAO (State Court Administrative Office)-approved mediator. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Michael H. Gordner, from senior counsel to principal. He is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Canadian Law, White-Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Compliance Groups. He received an LL.M in Taxation from Wayne State University Law School and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto.
Jeffrey L. LaBine, from associate to principal. He practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and securities law, and international business. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School.
Richard C. Sanders, from senior counsel to principal. He specializes in commercial litigation matters. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Grand Rapids, Michigan office:
Trent J. Taylor, from associate to principal. His practices in the areas of commercial lending, general business law and real estate. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Kalamazoo, Michigan office:
Phillip D. Torrence, from associate to principal. He practices in the areas of private and public securities offerings, public company representation, mergers and acquisitions, financing, venture capital financing, executive compensation planning, corporate restructuring, going-private transactions, various regulatory and compliance matters, entity formation, shareholder relations, and other corporate matters. He received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law.
Troy, Michigan office:
Thomas A. Norton, from senior attorney to principal. He is a member of the Product Safety, Product Litigation and Torts, and Automotive Practice groups, and is experienced in all aspects of national discovery litigation and support, commercial law and regulatory practices. He received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School.
Lynn Capp Sirich, from senior attorney to principal. Her practice focuses on all aspects of family law including divorce, custody, parenting time, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and personal protection orders. She graduated cum laude at Detroit College of Law.
David M. Thoms, from senior counsel to principal. He practices estate, business entity, succession planning, tax and real estate. He is co-leader of the firm’s Nonprofit and Charitable Organizations Group. He received an LL.M. in taxation from Wayne State University School of Law, and a J.D. from the University of Detroit-Mercy.
Warsaw, Poland office:
Konrad B. Marciniuk, from associate to principal. He is a legal specialist on Polish commercial law, joint ventures and real estate acquisition, and development transactions; and he specializes in the harmonization of Polish law with European Union law. He holds a Ph.D. and graduated from the Department of Law and Administration of Warsaw University, where he is an assistant professor.
Windsor, Ontario office:
Julie R. Daniel, from associate to principal. She practices in the areas of commercial and financial transactions. She received her LL.B. in 1989 from the University of Ottawa.
