Miller Canfield Attorney Bree Popp Selected Among Lansing's "Ten Over the Next Ten" Young Professionals
The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Bree Popp, an associate in the Public Law Group in the Lansing office, was recently selected as one of the Lansing region’s “Ten Over the Next Ten” top up-and-coming young professionals whose hard work and commitment make Lansing a great place to work and live.
The event was a collaboration of the Lansing Regional Chamber, The Greater Lansing Business Monthly and the Grand River Connection.
Popp is a member of the American Bar Association (State and Local Government Section), and the State Bar of Michigan (Appellate Practice and Public Corporation Law sections). She is a Fellow of the 2004 Michigan Political Leadership Program of Michigan State University where she is vice chair of the Finance Committee and member of the advisory board. She is a member of the Alumni Advisory Committee of the National Association of Environmental Law Societies (NAELS). In 2007 she was elected to a two year term on the board of directors for the Michigan State University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Alumni Association and in 2007, a three year Board of Directors term for Michigan Women in Finance.
She received her law degree from the University of Michigan. Her B.S. was received cum laude from Michigan State University where she majored in Environmental Studies and Applications. She was recipient of the 1999 College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Outstanding Leadership Award; president of the Resource Development Undergraduate Organization; an ambassador of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; and on the board of directors of the Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council (Mid-MEAC).
She resides in Lansing. She is a 1995 graduate of Caro High School and daughter of Sue and Darrell Popp of Caro, Mich.
