Miller Canfield Updates Michigan Employment Law Handbook

Attorneys from the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. have updated the 2004 Michigan Employment Law Handbook, published by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. Originally written by Miller Canfield in 1995, the book helps employers of all sizes comply with labor and employment law regulations in Michigan.

The updated handbook covers topics such as the new FLSA overtime rules that went into effect August 23, as well as military discrimination, MIOSHA reorganization and increased fines, updates on workers compensation and harassment issues, new HIPAA deadlines, and immigration issues.

The cost of the Handbook Kit is $189 plus shipping and tax, which includes the 439-page handbook, a CD containing essential forms and letters to help run a compliant HR program, a subscription to Executive Express, a monthly e-newsletter, and free access to a labor law hotline for no-cost HR advice.
