Experts to Review Compliance Calendar for Auto Suppliers at December 4 TREAD Act Update in Troy

To help automobile suppliers understand and meet sweeping, new product safety and warranty reporting requirements issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for 2003, the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. will host an informal and confidential morning update on the TREAD Act, Wednesday, December 4, from 7:30-10 a.m. at the MSU Management Education Center, 811 W. Square Lake in Troy. The update is cosponsored by the Michigan Manufacturers Association.

"While the first reporting deadline begins April 1, 2003, suppliers need to implement reporting systems and procedures now in order to collect the data required," said Richard A. Walawender, attorney with Miller Canfield’s Automotive Industry Group.
