Miller Canfield Attorney Elected to Grosse Pointe Farms City Council

Peter W. Waldmeir, a principal at the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., was recently elected to a two-year term on the Grosse Pointe Farms City Council. He served on the Grosse Pointe Farms City Council from 1995 to 2001, and he was also a member of the Grosse Pointe City Council from 1989 to 1993.

Waldmeir resides in Miller Canfield’s Detroit office and specializes in complex commercial as well as criminal litigation with an emphasis on public utility representation.

He is a member of several bar associations, including the State Bar of Michigan and the District of Columbia Bar Association, and is active in a host of civic and professional organizations. For many years, he has served on the Grosse Pointe Planning and Economic Development Committees, and he is a member of the Old Newsboys Goodfellows Board.

He received his law degree from George Washington University National Law Center, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan.
