Miller Canfield's Real Estate Practice Ranks First in Michigan, Second in Region by "Midwest Real Estate News"

June 9, 2008

The law firm of Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Midwest Real Estate News magazine ranked the firm’s real estate practice second on its list of 2008 Best of the Best Real Estate Law Firms in the Midwest, making it the top-ranked Michigan-based law firm. The results were published in the magazine’s May 2008 issue.

Miller Canfield completed more than 1000 real estate transactions in 2007. Transactions included commercial, industrial, shopping centers, land, office buildings and multi-family matters, as well as commercial mortgage loan closings.

“It is particularly rewarding to receive such a high ranking given the exceptional firms and real estate practices located in the Midwest,” said Ronald E. Hodess, leader of the firm’s Real Estate Group. “With more than 40 real estate lawyers with experience in virtually every facet of real estate activity, we serve commercial real estate clients across the nation.”

Midwest Real Estate News has been one of the region’s leaders in commercial real estate coverage for more than 20 years. The rankings in the Best of the Best issue are based on law firm surveys regarding number, size and type of real estate transactions completed in 2007.

The law firm of Miller Canfield was established in Detroit in 1852 and employs more than 800 in offices in Michigan, Illinois, Massachusetts, Florida, New York, Canada and Poland.
