Miller Canfield Attorneys Discuss "Understanding Transportation and Logistics Law," January 22 in Detroit

Attorneys from Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., in conjunction with Lorman Education Services, present “Understanding Transportation and Logistics Law in Michigan,” on Thursday, January 22, 2004, from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Held at the Courtyard by Marriott at 333 E. Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, the seminar is designed for freight and shipping managers, plant managers, manufacturers, wholesalers, logistics and transportation coordinators, attorneys, and insurance professionals.

Miller Canfield attorneys Andrew P. Doornaert and Todd W. Roeser will discuss international contractual issues, ocean shipments and customs and import/export considerations. Other topics include motor carrier, air and rail shipments. Cost to attend is $289 per person; $279 each for two or more people from the same company. Doornaert and Roeser are members of Miller Canfield’s Business and Finance Practice Group, as well as the Automotive Industry and Aviation and Transportation Practice Groups. Doornaert is a senior attorney in the Detroit office and is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker. He focuses his practice on international matters, including foreign trade zones, tariff classification, NAFTA, and customs compliance assessments. Roeser is an associate in the Detroit office and is involved in representation of foreign companies in U.S. business activities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing, and international cross-border transactions.
