Miller Canfield Attorney Presents Labor Law Updates

Kurt N. Sherwood, a principal in the Kalamazoo office of the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C., recently presented labor and employment law updates to the Michigan Community College Human Resource Association at its semi-annual meeting in Petoskey. He also conducted a Morning Update in Kalamazoo on the Fair Labor Standards Act and the recently implemented white-collar regulations.

Sherwood is a frequent speaker and author on labor and employment law topics. At Miller Canfield, he is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Group and a member of the editorial board for Miller Canfield's award-winning quarterly newsletter, Hot Points. He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®, 2005-2006, a referral guide to legal excellence in the United States.

He is a member of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Relations Section, State Bar of Michigan, Kalamazoo County Bar Association, Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Association, Kalamazoo Human Resource Management Association, and the Kalamazoo Area Labor-Management Association.

He resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
