Miller Canfield Presents "Where Jewish Law and U.S. Law Meet"

The law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces its first in a series of programs called "Interactions: Where Jewish Law and U.S. Law Meet.” On Tuesday, July 20, Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg, together with Miller Canfield attorneys Kenneth E. Konop and P. Rivka Schochet, will discuss “Planning for Inheritance and Health Directives According to Halacha.” This free event will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the Milk and Honey Restaurant, Jewish Community Center, 6600 W. Maple, in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

"This series is intended to address the issues presented by the interaction of Jewish law and secular law in various contexts. Our first program is designed to provide specific means for those who wish to conform their estate planning and health care directives to the principles of both Jewish law and U.S. law,” according to Rivka Schochet, of the Detroit office of Miller Canfield and coordinator of the series. A question and answer session will be included in the program.
