Miller Canfield Sponsors Annual Labor and Employment Law Seminar

Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. announces the details of this year’s Labor and Employment law seminar, hosted at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy, Mich. On Thursday, October, 24, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., the seminar will provide important legal updates on a wide range of topics for human resources professionals, managers, in-house counsel, CEOs, and business owners, and includes a special lunch session with a former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan and closing reception. Cost is $75 for individual tickets or $60 per ticket for two or more from the same organization.

The morning session will review significant employment cases and their impact on organizations, give a NLRA/PERA update and harassment law update, address legal issues involving temporary, leased, and contingent employees, and discuss FSLA: developments and hazards for the unwary employer.

Saul Green, Former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, will speak on racial and ethnic profiling in employment during the lunch session. And the afternoon will allow for attendees to choose individual workshops including:
