ANN ARBOR, MI  – The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that it served as legal advisor to Digital River, Inc. (Digital River) on its sale of BlueHornet Networks, Inc. to Marlin Equity Partners. Digital River is a portfolio company of Siris Capital Group, LLC (Siris Capital).

The Miller Canfield team, which was led by corporate and M&A principal Jeffrey L. Glenn (Troy, Michigan), employee benefits principal Kenneth J. Sachs (Troy, Michigan), employment and labor principal Saura J. Sahu (Kalamazoo, Michigan), senior attorney Nicole Baker (Troy, Michigan), and associates Aimee Jachym (Kalamazoo, Michigan) and Matthew Neale (Kalamazoo, Michigan).

“We have been pleased to work with Siris Capital and Digital River and to lend our expertise to this milestone event,” said LaBine. “This transaction provides current realized value to Siris Capital while simultaneously positioning BlueHornet to accelerate execution on its business plan. Transactions like this exemplify the client benefits of Miller Canfield’s holistic approach to M&A. Having specialists in each of the legal areas implicated by a transaction of this type allows us to seamlessly bring principals practicing in each area of law to the transaction as and when needed to ensure that the potential ramifications of each specialty area are considered and appropriately handled.”

Miller Canfield has been representing clients in complex global business transactions for many years, since the establishment of its first offices in Poland over 20 years ago to the more recent opening of its office in Mexico.  In the past year alone its Mergers and Acquisitions practice has led transactions in and with Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, and Brazil in addition to those throughout the United States.
