November 2, 2015

Robert Murkowski, an associate in the Detroit, Mich. office of Miller Canfield, was named a 2015 “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly for making a substantial impact in the legal industry. He was among 30 honorees that, with less than a decade in practice, have been chosen for displaying the ambition, drive, determination and accomplishments that make them worthy of the title “Up & Coming Lawyers.”

A member of Miller Canfield’s Litigation Group, Murkowski has litigated a variety of high-stakes corporate disputes and matters involving commercial contracts, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), antitrust and unfair competition laws, trade secrets, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements. Robert is also a member of the firm’s Automotive Group, where he regularly represents automotive manufacturers and tiered automotive suppliers in negotiating and litigating supplier contract disputes and warranty claims.

He received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and his B.S. from Eastern Michigan University. Michigan Lawyers Weekly is a state-wide newspaper that reports on Michigan and federal court decisions, legal ethics and judicial conduct issues and jury verdicts.
