Lawyer Aimee Jachym Rejoins Miller Canfield
Corporate lawyer Aimee Jachym has rejoined Miller Canfield as an associate in the Kalamazoo office.
She will assist with a diverse range of business transactions, utilizing her background in business and international affairs to meet the needs of both local and global clients. Her experience includes providing Foreign Trade Zone advice, representing a foreign auto supplier with acquisition of an American company’s structural products business, and providing long-term on-site support for a Fortune 500 medical device manufacturer with day-to-day in-house matters. She has also established several Michigan non-profit corporations and obtained their federal charitable tax-exempt status.
Jachym was previously with Miller Canfield’s Corporate Group from 2009-2011, before spending two years in South Korea serving as president and chief administrator of Korean Kids and Orphanage Outreach Mission (KKOOM), a non-profit she founded in 2007.
Upon returning to the United States in 2013, she was a commercial contracts manager for Parker Hannifin Corp.’s Aerospace Group, Hydraulics Systems Division in Kalamazoo, where she negotiated settlements and interpreted contracts, provided export controls compliance support and assisted with global business development.
Jachym earned her J.D. (2009) from Wayne State University Law School and both a B.B.A. and a B.A. (2004) from Western Michigan University. She lives in Portage, Mich.
