Frederick Acomb Speaks at International Bar Association Litigation Conference in Montreal
Frederick A. Acomb, Chair of the International Dispute Resolution Section at the law firm of Miller Canfield, spoke as a panelist at the 18th Annual International Bar Association (IBA) Litigation Forum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 14. The topic was “Strategies for Controlling the Costs of Discovery Across Borders,” with a focus on imaginative strategies for obtaining documents in multiple countries as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
Fellow panelists included lawyers from White & Case (London), Blake Cassels & Graydon (Toronto), Bell Canada (Toronto), and IBM (NY). The discussion was moderated by the General Counsel of Japan Tobacco International SA (Geneva).
Acomb (Detroit, Mich. office) is a partner at the firm. For more than 20 years, he has devoted his practice to prosecuting and defending international arbitration and litigation matters for clients from all over the world. His work regularly takes him around the globe, and he has appeared before arbitration tribunals in multiple continents including Asia, Europe, and North America.
