Real Estate Lawyer Larry Woodard Joins Miller Canfield in Chicago

The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that Larry N. Woodard has joined the firm’s Real Estate Group as a senior attorney in the Chicago office.

Woodard represents clients in the development, management, financing, leasing, zoning, acquisition and disposal of their real estate interests.  He has handled many complex transactions involving multiple parties, properties and lenders, while encompassing many states—and has negotiated deals of all sizes and structures.  His practice also extends into corporate transactions and asset protection, as well as loan workouts and mortgage foreclosure, construction and mechanics lien litigation.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, Real Property and Construction Law Sections; Illinois State Bar Association, Real Property Section; Chicago Bar Association; International Council of Shopping Centers; National Association of Realtors and Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors. He is a frequent writer and speaker on the topic of real estate law and is writing a treatise on mixed use real estate and vertical subdivisions.

He earned his juris doctorate and master of laws degree in real estate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he is an adjunct professor of law.  He also has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
