Illinois voters approved the legalization of marijuana for recreational use beginning January 2020. The new law will have significant impact on the state’s construction industry. We will discuss topics that include drug testing, zero-tolerance, possession, ADA accommodations and how employers can proactively implement enforceable drug and alcohol policies that will stand up to challenges by employees who violate them.
