They will touch on a variety of topics, including the latest in harassment and discrimination, the new overtime rules, misclassification of contractors/employees, and OSHA rules related to drug and alcohol policies.

NLRB UPDATE:  How have recent NLRB decisions continued to impact non-union employers? 
In this session we will discuss how the NLRB continues to expand what is considered to be “protected concerted activity;” the handbook rules it continues to consider unlawful; who can organize a union; and the changing definition of “employer” under the National Labor Relations Act.

IMMIGRATION – COMPLIANCE AND VISAS
During this session we will cover I-9 and employment eligibility requirements and compliance for employers; temporary nonimmigrant visa classifications; hiring, retention and firing of foreign workers; and an overview of the employment-based green card process.
