Before the Bell Breakfast Forum: Succession Planning - The Next Generation

August 18, 2016
7:15 - 8:30 a.m.
The Townsend Hotel, 100 Townsend Street, Birmingham, MI 48009

Area investment advisors, registered representatives, and trust officers are invited to join us for breakfast and a presentation on "Succession Planning - The Next Generation".

All business owners struggle with succession planning for their businesses.  Do they sell their business or transfer it to their children?  Which children?  How do they minimize the potential for disputes, which are often bitter?  How do they assure themselves of a comfortable retirement if they turn over the reins now?  How do they assure that their spouse will be comfortable too?  There are no easy answers, but there are a variety of strategies that have worked for others and may work for them.

Please join Miller Canfield lawyer Gary Glenn while he discusses who to sell/transfer the business to, how to assure a continued stream of income, possible estate and income tax implications, how to guard against the loss of wealth in the event of a divorce, and more…..

Advance registration is required. No cost to attend.
