We were pleased to welcome clients, colleagues, friends and family to a night of skating and hospitality at our annual Client Skate at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on March 18. A friendly hockey game featuring Miller Canfield attorneys and clients started the action before the ice was opened to friends and family for an open skate. Check out a Google Photos album of the event here.

This a special opportunity for Miller Canfield since we are not just invested in the City of Detroit, but we were deeply involved in Little Caesars Arena's development. Our work included real estate, land acquisition, title clearance, environmental, legal structuring, multi-level economic incentives, planning, zoning, financing, leasing, special legislation, tax-exempt bonds, architect agreements, construction and labor. The $650 million project is one of the most significant public-private partnerships in the Midwest, and is expected to be a large economic development engine and job creator in downtown Detroit.
